There will be some disappointment soon when one or the other of you push things a little too far. They’re not too happy, it seems. Well, let them voice their concerns. And don’t overthink it. You’re worried that you have to make a choice of some kind. But all you have to do is lean into what matters and work on that. You’ll achieve the success and recognition your efforts deserve. There won’t be any lingering disappointment at your end. It’ll be the other party that gets to carry that emotional burden, not you.
